Santa Rosa Beach
Oh my gosh, I’m so behind! We were in Florida a MONTH ago! When we got home, we just got so busy right away with remodeling our apartment and everything else just sort of got pushed aside! Plus with a few blog collabs I had lined up, these photos have been on pause! But I’m here to wrap up my Florida content from our trip to Santa Rosa Beach! (Two more posts after this one!) It’s full-blown spring here in Michigan, our apartment remodel is feeling super good (we’re not stepping over paint or cardboard anymore!) and I feel like I can start to focus on my “normal” — working, blogging, cooking meals at home, heading to FLEX, actually relaxing with Eric (haha) and watching Netflix in bed. 😆 But in the meantime, let’s back up a month ago to our trip to Santa Rosa Beach!
I absolutely loved the place we stayed in Florida! It was a community called Old Florida Cottages. We stayed in the Eventide cottage! It was perfect for our large group (12 of us!!). Eric and I had our own bedroom, overlooking the pool area! I just loved the quaint beach-y decor, cozy vibes and that we were a one minute walk from the pool and a 10 minute walk from the ocean. It was the perfect place to stay! We had a rooftop we could sit out on, but we mostly sat out by the pool or the ocean! Plus, it’s super walkable to get to the main area of Santa Rosa Beach. We typically walked down for brunch to The Perfect Pig or to get ice-cream at Buddy’s. I’d definitely stay there again if we went back!
I picked up a few new bathing suits from Aerie before we headed off on our vacation… and I’m so glad I found this longline scoop top! It’s super modest (which I’m just a modest gal in general, haha) but it was also super cute paired with some high-waisted bottoms. I totally overpacked on this trip, and was mostly in my bathing suit, and this black dress from Madewell that ended up being perfect as a beach wrap. It’s out of stock and I tried to find a similar option online, but couldn’t find anything! The weather we had was pretty warm, but not overly hot unless you were sitting out directly in the sun. So I ended up wearing a lot of jeans + button up tops I could tie in the front. Definitely a glimpse of my spring/summer style now that the weather is warming up here in Michigan! I’ll be back! Thanks for reading along… as always! xo
