How we use Xfinity for our hobbies and side hustles at home

Side hustles and hobbies are two major themes in our household! 😆 Eric and I have a ton of passions, and thankfully, we’ve been able to turn a few of them into side hustles. Therefore, we rely heavily on having the right internet and TV service to be able to do what we love. As for our side hustles – I run my blog here at Selective Potential. I’m always using our Xfinity Internet to edit photos, write content, post on social media, or respond to comments on my laptop or phone. Eric, on the other hand, plays in several local bands! When he’s working on that at home, he’s usually on his computer prepping for upcoming shows, planning setlists and responding to inquiries! As for our “hobbies” and ways we unwind, Eric loves to play his PlayStation online with his friends, while I love to catch up on Netflix (currently re-watching New Girl!) in bed with Xfinity X1. Since we are always using our internet while we’re at home, I’m glad we have our Xfinity subscription!

Whether we’re working on our side hustles or our hobbies, we’re pretty much always using the internet. That makes our Xfinity services essential! While Eric is using the internet to battle it out with friends in an online game, I’m using it to reference recipes while cooking dinner, to listen to music or to blog in our makeshift office/dining room (we’re currently redecorating!). Since we’ve been redecorating, we figured it was a great time to reevaluate our services and the technology we use. Painting and freshening up our apartment was a priority, but simplifying was another major thing I wanted to accomplish. Eric and I were looking for ways to reduce some of the equipment we needed and to upgrade some old products that we had. (We finally got rid of some speakers we’ve had from the 70s, haha!)

So, we recently headed to the Xfinity Store to see what we could do to streamline and simplify the products and services we regularly use at home. We decided to head into the store to be able to see what new products were available and to talk to a representative in person. We figured this was the best way to get some feedback and advice on what services would be best for us. At our local Xfinity Store, we talked with Zach who was super helpful! He helped us keep the same monthly payment while upgrading our plan to the Extra Blast plan. I was honestly so excited that I get Freeform again with our new plan. Hahaha, 31 days of Halloween anyone?! We also decided to upgrade our TV to a Roku (internet-capable TV), so Zach let us know we could turn in our Xfinity box (one less thing on the shelf!) since we’ll be streaming exclusively now. Now, we get a bunch of new channels — including HBO for Game of Thrones! — while keeping our same monthly payment, which is awesome.

Eric and I have been really happy with our Xfinity services. We were able to simplify our setup, enhance our services and improve our experience with internet and TV at home — all while keeping our same monthly payment. If you’re looking to simplify your experience, it helps to work with a company that’s committed to you and makes things right if they fall short. Be sure to check out Xfinity! In addition to 24/7 support, they also offer a 30-day money-back guarantee and provide service on your terms. We’ve been with Xfinity for years, and I’ve always had a good experience working with their products and team! What are some of your hobbies at home? Do you use the internet all the time like we do?
