Summer Style + Savings with DFCUPerks

Phew! It’s officially summer here in Michigan! We’ve reached 90º the last couple of days and it’s hot! When the temps change drastically like that, you quickly realize what pieces you’re missing in your closet. Since I pretty much live in jeans these days, I knew I wanted a new skirt to pair with the tops I already have. Since a new month just started (and hello new budget!), I wanted to find a deal — so I checked my DFCUPerks account to see if there were any local shopping deals! They had a 20% off coupon for Express, so I headed there to see if I could find anything… and ended up scoring this cute black denim pencil skirt! I love that it’s great for hot summer days, will pair easily with everything in my closet, and I got a great deal on it! Be sure to check out DFCUPerks! It’s a checking account that provides you with discounts to thousands of local retailers – from restaurants, clothing retailers, health services, to auto services – you name it! Keep reading to find out more + head to their website to sign up for an account!

Summer plans are also in full swing! I have plans to travel to the upper peninsula, down to Bloomington, Indiana, and down to Springfield, Ohio again! I’m super excited and ready for all of the summer fun. The nice thing about my DFCUPerks account too is that it can use your location to find local deals… so when I head out for trips, I can always check the app to see if there is anything nearby! That’s awesome for checking out new restaurants, or if I need something from AutoZone on our roadtrip, or if I just want to pick up a new piece of clothing from a clothing retailer! Tons of options!

Just to note, there is a small fee for the account, $6/month. The savings you receive through the app pay for the account within a use or two though, so the account really pays for itself! And the more you find/use local deals, the more savings you’ll have! (With this skirt, I saved over $9.98 alone… so the app paid for itself in one visit!)
