City night in GR
Hi hi! Phew, I’m behind. What’s new? 🤪 These photos were taken a month ago on my last trip in GR… and now I’m BACK in GR! Hahaha, so at least it’s fitting with where I’m currently sitting. But yeah… I feel like I sort of have a different vibe/persona in Grand Rapids vs. Marquette. I kind of like that… to be honest. Is that weird? I don’t know, I’m kind of weird anyway. What is normal. 🤪🤪🤪 Hahaha. Anyway! I love this outfit. Ever since I’ve started my blog, I always gravitated toward edgy style. Maybe it’s my love for classic rock. Maybe it’s my high school punk days. I don’t know. Gimme a leather jacket + all black any day. Especially in the ciitayyyyy. Okay, wow. I’m special today. Hahaha. Don’t worry, I haven’t had wine and it’s noon on a Monday. I think I’m just feeling GOOD!
So outfit deets are so hard when you rewear things from years past and your style is sort of honed in and you don’t buy a lot these days! I remember wanting the Madewell Washed Leather Jacket SO BAD last year but couldn’t justify spending almost $500 on it, so I found this knock off at H&M and I absolutely love it. They don’t have it in stock anymore though. 😭😭😭 But they do have a couple of others available on their website. Or you could just splurge on the Madewell one, I mean, lifetime investment jacket. 🙌🏻 I also got a few Q’s on these boots on IG, and Everlane still has them in stock! Limited sizes, but still! In stockkkkkk! A rarity for things in my closet these days, even these Madewell jeans only have one size left. I’m sorry. Worst fashion blogger of the year award goes to Tiek. Tiek bo Beek.
I hope you all had a good holiday!!! I know this year is so strange. I even thought about staying up in Marquette over Christmas, but ultimately I’m very glad I decided to come home. I didn’t have any big family celebrations this year obviously. I spent Christmas Eve with my Dad in Muskegon, which was good to have home-cooked food and watch Christmas movies on TV. I also was able to snag my bestie’s last hair appointment, so the blonde is a lot more toned down now compared to these photos!! And a fresh trim was SO overdue. Plus I ran into another bestie on her way out from an appointment and my heart just danced being able to be around humans, around friends, like I almost had a meltdown. But since I’ve been home… baked Christmas cookies, cleaned up a bit, saw a few friends, took a solo trip to Frankenmuth which was an adventure!! (Post to come). Things are good, strange, but good! I’m excited to be home through the new year, I want to get organized, spend time with my girlfriends, and ring in 2021 with the best intentions. I have no idea what the future holds, but I’m here for it!!!
