Purple on Presque
Look at this… just a classic ol’ outfit post! No major adventures, or weekend excursions. Just an outfit in a pretty location — very old school Selective Potential of me. But I headed out to Presque Isle Park to take in the sunset, gale winds, and to snap a few photos! I recently picked up a few new pieces from Madewell during their major sales they’ve been having — these jeans, this sweater. I’ve been wanting a new pair of medium wash jeans, high-rise, no button-fly, and these are definitely a new favorite. I had to size down one size from my normal size, so just an FYI if you’re looking into these jeans! And I pretty rarely wear purple, but this color stuck out to me… a) it’s slightly out of my norm and I don’t need to buy the same thing over and over because I tend to do that and b) it’s still earthy/neutral enough to fit into my aesthetic and surroundings. LOL. I know. I have a color palette for my life — do you? I know I’m not alone in this. 😂
Well time is trucking along! I honestly feel like it’s flying, but I know I say that all the time, but I’m also just stuck in a very weird time warp right now. I know it’s partly living in a new town temporarily, also just having an entirely temporary life right now. I haven’t seen my girlfriends since… mid-September, just honestly blew my mind once I thought about that last night. They are my lifeline, but still having virtual ways of communication, it doesn’t seem that long, but man I’d kind of sort of kill to just to hear them all laugh in person right now. ANYWAY! I’m sure I’m not alone. Lockdown is tough on everyone, the holidays are strange this year, this year is strange this year. 😂 I keep myself sane by staying busy, adventuring around the UP, having a place instead of people to keep me company a lot of the time. Honestly not quite sure what I’d do without this corner of the earth right now. This park, included. I’m constantly finding myself driving along this coast and up to this park to find peace.
Anyway! What else is new? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I’m working on a fun (and big!) collaboration right now that I’m excited to share soon, so stay tuned there. I got a new drone and I’m really excited to mess around with it. I finally started getting it set up this weekend, and I need to take it out for my first flight this week. But I’m really hoping my lighthouse photos become *that* much more epic now. I mean, there are just SO many places in the UP that this will be really fun to play around with. I’m sort of thinking of heading somewhere for an overnight trip soon — maybe Copper Harbor? Maybe Ontonagon? I could easily drive back “home” to MQT but it’d be fun to stay somewhere and just do a little more exploring than I normally would. Anyway, rambling thoughts. I’ll be back more this week! Still trying to wrap up content from round II in Marquette! I’m behinndddd.
