Between Winter Ave & Summer Ave
Hi there! Onto Thursday. Inching closer and closer to the weekend… woo! Work just announced we can take a half day tomorrow for the holiday weekend, so I’m already looking forward to logging off for a mental break. This week was a little tougher to get through, but I’m doing okay. Still continuing to focus on all the things that normally bring me joy… like exercising, cooking, wine, blogging, New Girl, etc. A routine honestly does help to keep the days chugging along quickly. Not that I ever want time to pass by fast when I’m young, but I just really hate being quarantined. I miss my friends, plans, travels, and meals out. Michigan was just officially extended to April 30 (which we were all expecting anyway) but I really really really hope that May looks a little different. Even if it’s not back to normal, I just want to get a little closer to it.
I’ve been finding some cool local spots though to take photos where nobody is around, so that’s been fun to get outside and explore Grand Rapids a little more. I found this little spot in an alley between Winter Ave & Summer Ave and I thought that was perfect… since we’re in spring right between winter and summer. Haha! But yeah, getting dressed, doing my hair, and putting on a little bit of makeup makes me feel better, so I’m glad blogging inspires me to keep doing that once in a while. Most days I’m in workout clothes or joggers and literally the same sweatshirt, haha. So yeah, besides my normal hobbies, I’ve been tackling a couple of quarantine projects, like organizing old photos and some of my external hard-drives. Just trying to keep my mind busy and not scroll for forever or get inside my head too much!
So yeah, not much else to update on, lol. I had trips planned for the end of the month… and at the end of May, and it’s so weird to think about those. The trip at the end of this month is definitely getting cancelled. I was supposed to go to Florida with some girlfriends. And then at the end of May, we have plans to go to Nashville for a long holiday weekend with the gang, and I really really hope that trip still happens. Along with all of the other summer plans that I look forward to. It makes me sad to think about any of that getting cancelled… blegh. But oh well, holding on tight. Hope you guys are too!! 🤍
