Alley red
Onto a new week! I feel like April is going by… dare I say, kind of fast? I think it’s honestly because all of my days blur together now, lol. I pretty much do the same thing every day with the same routine. Oh well, at least I’m consistent right now. I’ve been focusing a lot on the “controllables”, like meal-planning, cooking healthy, tracking my points, exercising, cleaning, organizing, tackling some “quarantine” projects like reorganizing old external hard-drives, etc. along with taking time to relax, watch New Girl, drink lots of wine, just listen to music, nap, think, stare out the window. 😂 But blogging has been a good way to sort of keep my mind busy. It forces me to get dressed and go outside (in desolate places, haha), and then between planning outfits, taking photos, editing, writing, etc., it’s definitely a welcome distraction right now.
This outfit is definitely a classic Tieka/Madewell outfit. One of my favorite things about Madewell is… their stuff never goes out of style, in my opinion. At least not their classics. I was looking through old photos the other day of a Madewell event I hosted in 2012 and I’d still wear all of those clothes today. So yeah, I even wore this exact outfit a couple of years ago, and it’s still just as relevant today. You cannot go wrong with a denim jacket + some black ripped jeans! Plus, my Transport Tote is going on year 7 and it’s still held up great. Like, Madewell, seriously, you’re the best. I’m your biggest fan, haha. Thank you for existing.
Otherwise, not much else is new. Honestly just trying to stay sane and being in a routine and trying to stay productive is my way of staying sane. Not to say, I don’t cry into a glass of wine here and there, don’t get me wrong. I’ve definitely had my breakdowns during this process (ahem 7 lighthouses in a day lol). My throat has been closing up the last week and I honestly think it’s anxiety, even though I can tell myself over and over that actually I’m crushing it and I’m doing “fine”, sometimes you can tell yourself something, and your body is telling you otherwise. So yeah, me being in this productive phase is just me coping, so don’t ever compare your coping process to mine and think any less of how you’re handling the situation! I just wanted to say that out loud. I’m definitely sad, haha. I miss so many people. But day-by-day. We’ve got this!! ❤️
