510 Bridge Overlook
I’m so sad at how fast October is flying by… how are we on the last week already? I’m not ready to let go! I tried to get out as often as I could to capture all the fall color, but I still feel like I fell short. But! All you can do is all you can do. And I’m really glad this bridge overlook is so close to Marquette, only ~15 minutes, so it was an easy weeknight adventure. We’ve had an unseasonably warm month too… which honestly, I’ve been adoring in a sense because I can wear boots without socks and plaids and no coats, but it’s also starting to cool off more and I also love that. It’s been a good month, it went by super fast, my head is sort of spinning like it normally does in October, and as much as I love October, I am looking forward to the slowness of November a bit.
The last time I was in Madewell in Grand Rapids, I ended up picking up this flannel (because I don’t have enough? 🙄) but it’s been a good go-to this season… and it will transition nicely into winter outfits. Otherwise, I’ve been keeping it pretty simple style-wise. Yesterday I finally busted out a teddy coat which was really exciting, so yeah, now that we’re getting more into coats season I can layer up a bit and play around with style a bit more! Once daylight savings ends, and I have more dark evenings and time to fill, I’ll revamp my closet, list items on Posh, and get organized a bit. I feel like I’m swimming in clothes and then I also feel like I have nothing to wear sometimes. I actually prefer capsule wardrobes for that reason, fewer options, and helps you get more creative with less.
Hmmm, what else is new. I’ve been updating more on the blog lately so I feel I’m running out of things to say when not much crazy is happening in my life. I just finished “American Horror Story: 1984”, which was good to watch this month! I forget how much I like that show until I get vested into a season of it. I still think Coven is my favorite though. I also started watching “Murders in the Building” last night, which I’m excited to keep watching. So good so far! I also love Steve Martin & Martin Short though. I grew up watching Father of the Bride movies on repeat which influenced so much of my adult life. Who would have thought. 😂 Anyway, I’m rambling. I’m off to Grand Rapids for Halloween weekend, excited to see friends, and do some fall things there that I can’t do here. And then I’ll be back in MQT for Round XIII!
