Teal Lake
This week, I went on a fall color drive with my friend Alex, and the views were incredible! The Upper Peninsula is at full peak, and we were surrounded by stunning autumn vistas. Kept “oohing and “aahing” at so many bends in the road. We made a quick stop at Teal Lake to snap some photos, and I had to laugh at how mini I look in the pics since Alex is so much taller than me! I got a little car sick and sweaty along the winding back roads, so we had to make a pit stop at a gas station where I chugged water and heavily complained, lol. After that, we headed out for secret wings and margaritas, which was the perfect way to end the adventure. 🍁
For the day, I was channeling some old-school Selective Potential vibes with my cut-off denim shorts and tights combo. It felt like a throwback to some of my earliest outfits on the blog, and I loved it! Feeling a little more “Tieka” these days. I also wore a green wool coat I thrifted last year, which is quickly becoming a favorite for layering this season. I might just need to find a way to knock out these shoulder pads, lol. There’s something so fun about piecing together fall layers—it’s the best time of year for mixing textures and styles! Plus, it’s fun to bring back out my beloved Doc Marten boots. I saw Jen Loves Kev wearing these last year and had to have ‘em.
Now, I’m gearing up for the Fresh Coast Film Festival in Marquette this weekend, but I’m still trying to squeeze in time to catch those last few glimpses of peak fall color and get caught up on some photos and blog posts. It’s such a fleeting season, and I want to soak up every bit of it while I can! I’ll be back next… with my Lake of the Clouds content! See you soon! xoxo
