Tulips in Holland

I love Holland (in Michigan!) this time of year. I always love Holland, but when the tulips are in bloom... it's just so special. Eric and I headed there for a quick trip to visit Windmill Island Gardens. I've featured this place several times before, but it's just a given I come back every spring. We explored the island, and a few of the shops. We got there way early and the light was so harsh, so we just laid in the grass for a while waiting for the sun to go down. It was pretty perfect. I love it when life just slows down, even for a second, and you can look up at a perfect blue sky and be content. After wandering for a bit, we headed downtown to eat at Curragh Irish Pub. We split potato skins, and I had some of the best fish and chips ever. It was one of those evenings I just love, and live for. (Also, excuse my grass-marked legs ;))
