Finally spring

Happy (finally) spring! Well... at least here in Michigan. Last week, we suffered through an awful ice storm and SNOW that actually stuck around for days. Needless to say, I took a week off from taking pictures, posting here, and posting on IG. I just couldn't bring myself to put on a happy face during those dark, dark times. Hahaha. But here we are! It was actually over 70º today. So nuts. But I'm so grateful. The sunshine, warm wind, mild temperatures... it's giving me life! I love winter, and I get that I live in Michigan where it's winter the majority of the year, but to have snow and ice into the end of April is SO depressing. Glad spring has finally come around!

I also didn't finish out my 10x10 challenge, so I apologize for that. We also went to Detroit last weekend (right as the storm was hitting) and we truly tried to suffer it out (it was freezing cold rain) but decided to give up and come home early. So, I didn't get any photos there either. I feel like such a slacker blogger lately. But we had a great first day... did a little shopping at Somerset, had dinner at Wolfgang Puck Steak (which was one of the best meals I've had in a while!), saw The Darkness at Majestic Theater (super fun!) and stayed overnight at the MGM Grand Detroit, which was great. The room was so nice, our hotel bed was incredibly comfy, and we had an amazing view. I just wish I would have taken more photos... I just thought we'd have more time! Oh well, Detroit is so close... we'll definitely have to head back soon.

When we took these photos, we were in town, out and about! I never really went to Trader Joe's much when they first opened (so busy!), but now I'm kind of obsessed. I love how they have such pretty inexpensive flowers. They have so many WW-friendly yummy things like their chicken burgers and cauliflower crust pizza "dough". Plus their wine... so good and SO cheap! Other than that... not much else is new. Still heading to FLEXcity Fitness 4x a week. Still tracking my points. 30 pounds sort of got away from me last week in Detroit, so I'm working to get back there. Picked up a few new things at Madewell and I'm totally in love with their wrap tops. I ended up getting the black silk one, but I pretty much want every pattern/style now. I've been working at listing more and more stuff on Poshmark, so if you want to shop my closet, head over there! That's about all that's new! I'll be back this week with another post! xo
