It was the perfect autumn evening for a drive out to Big Bay, with the fall colors popping off in full force… finally! 🍂 I headed to Yellow Dog River Bridge to soak in the golden hour light and the autumnal views. I wore my favorite plaid shacket from Madewell and broke in my new Blundstone boots—perfect for an evening like this. I loved cruising the back roads at dusk, which is easily one of my favorite ways to spend a fall weeknight. There’s nothing quite like autumn in the U.P.!

I also joined the community for Plaidurday at South Beach, and embraced the fall crisp air this weekend. Between baking cookies, catching sunsets, and sipping Witches Brew, October has felt like the perfect balance of fun and relaxation. Read MoreAhhhh, the Big Bay Point Lighthouse. What a dream! I absolutely love visiting this lighthouse, but it’s extra magical when I can stay overnight. It’s one of the few operational lighthouses that offer a bed and breakfast, and such a perk it’s so close to Marquette, only 24 miles northwest in the town of Big Bay, Michigan. It’s perched on top of a tall bluff over a rocky point, with picturesque views.
