Wetmore Landing
When I arrived back in Marquette, I was #blessed with a very strange, very amazing week of weather. Like… 60s-70s and sunny and WARM and overcast and windy and all the good things I love in NOVEMBER! So I took advantage of every weeknight I could to get outside… and decided to trek out to Wetmore Landing to spend golden hour and watch the sunset! All the moody beach vibes this night, which seem to be my schtick lately. Wetmore Landing is a wonderful beach spot, surrounded by trees, with gorgeous views of Lake Superior. I want to do an entire blog post on the area… there’s a lot to explore, including hiking trails, an abandoned dock, and lots more photo opportunities. But for now, here’s my outfit and some pretty scenic views!
I recently picked up this oversized ex-boyfriend flannel from Madewell… and it’s maybe my favorite top now. Definitely on repeat UP here. It’s oversized, suuuuuuper quality material, and I just discovered it has side pockets too! Isn’t that the best moment when you discover a jacket or shirt or dress has side pockets?! Hahaha. These jeans are also new… I wanted another pair of skinny jeans to wear with ankle boots, and found these mid-rise skinny jeans from Madewell in a unique wash — the Clarksville wash. They’re on sale with Madewell’s Black Friday event, so be sure to head over and check these out. I love the fit and color. I’ve worn these so many times already!
Well… still working to get caught up on blog posts! Work has been busy, life just feels like it’s going a million miles a minute at this point, I’m just hanging on for the ride. I am heading back to Grand Rapids for the long holiday weekend, so that’ll be nice to be home home for a little bit… even though Marquette feels more like home than ever. It’s just nice to be back with all of your own *stuff*, haha. I’ll be switching out my capsule wardrobe some, I get to visit with a little bit of family, and water all of my plants!!! 😂 I live such a strange life right now, I know. It’s just on brand though for me. I don’t think I was meant to live a traditional life. All I know is that I love today. That’s all I’m focused on.
