After three autumns in a row at this spot, it’s now totally a tradition. I wouldn’t miss this spot in early October for the world. It’s just… magic. It’s truly magic. And it’s so close to Marquette, about a 15 minute drive, in Negaunee, and the fall colors will just take your breath away.

Let the autumn content begin! Man, this season is so fleeting. I feel like we’re almost halfway through it… and to me, it’s just beginning! But we’re definitely starting to see peak colors here in the Upper Peninsula. I’m going to try to ramp up the personal style aspect to the blog for the best season to dress in, before winter hits. 🍂

In the sunflowers

Recently I took a weeknight adventure in the UP to Hall Farms to see their sunflower field… which is the most magical sunflower field I’ve ever seen. I went last year, but it was just past peak, so I knew this year… I needed to pounce as soon as I heard it was ready. I made it just in time for that late golden hour light. So beautiful. 🌻

This past weekend, I was like… 55º? Yes. Even if windy and a little drizzly. I will put on a spring outfit and pull out my DSLR for the first time in months. I headed to a go-to spot I visit for golden hour often — Clark Lambros. It’s a wonderful beach/park right on Lake Superior and perfect for freighter watching.
