I haven’t been blogging much personal style lately, wondering if I should get back into it or not, or just focus more on travel, especially in the Upper Peninsula, but eh, here we are! Read MoreRead on for a little bit of Escanaba, Cedar River & Menominee area… including a couple of lighthouses, a fave breakfast place, wine tasting, and an old timey burger joint! From Marquette, this was about a 2.25 hour drive one-way, but it felt much less with stops along the way.
Read MoreThirteen consecutive years at the tulip fields… and this is the first time visiting during sunrise! I was a little bummed because I was maybe a week early… the fences were still up to keep the deer out, the fields weren’t 100% in bloom yet, but it was still beautiful and it was lovely to see the fields in a whole new light.
Read MoreThis past weekend, I was like… 55º? Yes. Even if windy and a little drizzly. I will put on a spring outfit and pull out my DSLR for the first time in months. I headed to a go-to spot I visit for golden hour often — Clark Lambros. It’s a wonderful beach/park right on Lake Superior and perfect for freighter watching.

I just felt like getting out of the house, and I love a tradition of “Fish Fry Fridays” so I was like… I’ll take a drive to Big Bay, see what photo opps are along the way (always excited to spot a log stack!), golden hour at the beach, and then go to Thunder Bay Inn for fish fry!
Read MoreBefore COVID season hit, I at least made it up to Sugarloaf to watch the sunset. It was such a pretty walk too, quite a few people out. I was the only one at the top for a while until it was right at peak sunset and all of a sudden, it got busy! But yeah, a worthy hike in all seasons.
